What we do
Stockholm Science City promotes the development of life science and innovation environments in Stockholm. We place particular focus on the innovation district of Hagastaden, which connects Stockholm and Solna.
Together, we facilitate collaboration between academia, industry, and the public sector, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of research and innovation throughout the Stockholm-Uppsala region. We identify gaps in the innovation ecosystem and connect stakeholders who can jointly address them.

Life science
Life science is a growth industry and an important export engine for Sweden. In the Stockholm–Uppsala region, there is great potential to become one of the world’s leading and most sought-after regions for life science innovation.

Hagastaden has been developed with sustainability as a core focus. Universities, hospitals, companies, real estate developers, the city, and the region are all driving sustainability efforts. Stockholm Science City contributes through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
