Precision Medicine Network

Precision medicine is used more and more in clinical practice. Treatments become more effective with the help of more precise diagnostic methods and tailored therapies. The right treatment can be provided to the right patient at the right time, and early detection allows diseases to be prevented or mitigated.

The Stockholm-Uppsala region hosts many companies, high-quality research, and initiatives such as infrastructure investments in precision medicine. Since 2023, there has been a network for SMEs engaged in research and development. At our meetings, we invite guests and discuss important issues such as clinical trials, research infrastructure, forms of collaboration between companies of different sizes, partnerships with clinicians, as well as the initiatives in precision medicine by Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital.

The network is run by Stockholm Science City Foundation, Flemingsberg Science, KI Science Park, KI Innovations, and STUNS Life Science. The network meetings are conducted within the framework of the project Health Data Sweden (HDS), which aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises and the public sector in digitalising health data.
